Obituary for Tom Mark Perry

Thomas Mark "Tom" Perry, 63, of Mooresville, Indiana passed away peacefully on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. He was born July 17, 1953 in Vincennes, IN to the late Raymond Eugene and Marjorie (Smith) Perry. Tom married Mary Elizabeth "Betty" (Dunstan) Perry on August 21, 1982.

Tom grew up in Vincennes where he lived for 18years, lived in Indianapolis for 24 years and in Mooresville since 2007. Tom attended Vincennes Lincoln High School and later graduated from Vincennes University with an associated degree in Mortuary Science. Tom served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Mooresville VFW Post #1111 and also the Mooresville American Legion Post #103 where he was currently serving his second term as Commander. Tom previously worked as a property manager for Commercial REIT. Tom also worked as a funeral director for several firms including: Flanner and Buchanan, Harry W. Moore Funeral Care, Conkle Funeral Home, and Shirley Brothers Mortuaries.

Tom is survived by his wife, Betty (Dunstan) Perry of Mooresville; brother, Mike (Kathy) Perry of Plainfield; 2 sisters, Rita (Mike) Arnold of Indianapolis and Susan (Randy) Suhre of Mooresville; lots of nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Tom will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2016 at Jones Crossing Banquet and Event Center, next to Jones Family Mortuary. Pastor Aaron Arnold will officiate the Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 6 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2016 at Jones Crossing Banquet and Event Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mooresville American Legion Post #103 or the Mooresville VFW Post #1111.

Tom's family would like to thank all the nurses and everyone that had a hand in making Tom's last moments as peaceful as possible.
