Obituary for Virginia A. (Ginny) Helfenberger

Virginia A. "Ginny" Helfenberger, 83, Indianapolis, IN, died on Sunday, July 17, 2011. Virginia was born to Hoyt Moore Sr. & Helen (Heard) Moore in Indianapolis, IN on November 14, 1927. She married Charles R. Helfenberger on May 27, 1947.

Virginia was a 1945 Graduate of Decatur Central High School. She did clerical work for Kilsby Roberts Tubing Company in Indianapolis, IN for 13 years and Allegheny Airlines in Indianapolis, IN for 7 years. Except for living in Ellenton, FL for 20 years; she lived in Indianapolis, IN for most of her life. She was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Plainfield, IN and Living Lord Lutheran Church in Bradenton, FL. She was a member of West Newton Order of the Eastern Star and a former member of the Decatur Township Homemakers Club. She also enjoyed traveling, water & jet skiing and square dancing.

She is survived by her husband, Charles R. Helfenberger of Indianapolis, IN; 1 Daughter, Connie (Kenny) Rackley of Indianapolis, IN; 1 Son, David Helfenberger of North Carolina; 5 Grandchildren, Steve Rackley, Lori Stidam, Kelly Chambers, Aaron Helfenberger & John Helfenberger; 6 Great Grandchildren.

Virginia "Ginny" was preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt Moore Sr. & Helen (Heard) Moore; a brother, Hoyt Moore Jr. and a sister, Dorothy Robertson.

Calling will be from 4-8pm, Tuesday, July 19, 2011 and 9-10am, Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Jones Family Mortuary. Robert Rohrman will officiate the 10am funeral service on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Jones Family Mortuary. Virginia "Ginny" will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery.
