Obituary for Virginia Bowling
Virginia Bowling, 80 years of age passed away Friday, January 22, 2010 in Indianapolis,IN. She was born November 29, 1929 in Perry County, KY to the late Matt and Jessie (Dixon) Barger. She married Lester Bowling of Chavies, KY on October 4, 1947.
Virginia lived in Perry County, KY for most of her life and in Indianapolis, IN for 35 years. She enjoyed her family, flowers, and embroidery. Before retiring in 1985, she was an Assembly Line Worker for RCA in Indianapolis, IN.
She is survived by her Husband, Lester Bowling of Chavies, KY; 4 Children: Lester (Connie) Bowling Jr. of Mooresville, IN, Estil (Karen) Bowling of Indianapolis, IN, Irene (Kevin) Clemmons of Mooresville, IN, and Ben (Tracy) Bowling of Marshall, IL; 10 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; and 1 Sister, Lucille Hacker of Fredericksburg, IN. She is also preceded in death by 1 Sister, Chloe Barger.
Calling hours for Virginia will be from 4-7pm, Monday, January 25, 2010 at Jones Family Mortuary. The Funeral will be at 7pm, Monday, January 25, 2010 also at Jones Family Mortuary. There will also be calling hours at Engle-Walker Funeral Home in Hazard, KY from 4-8pm, Wednesday, January 27, 2010. There will also be a funeral at Engle Walker Funeral Home at 10am, Thursday, January 28, 2010. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
