Obituary for Val J. Wright

Val J. Wright, 87 of Monrovia, IN passed away Monday, February 25, 2008. He was born November 4, 1920 in Bridgeport, IL to the late Wilbert Wright and the late Emma (Pepple) Wright. He married the late Bernice L. (Lockhart) Wright on June 22, 1940.

Val has lived in Monrovia, IN for the past 34 years. He was a Navy Veteran in World War II and also was a member of the Monrovia Christian Church. Before retiring in 1985, he was a Welder for Ford Motor Company, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN for 25 years.

Val is survived by 1 Son, Jack Eugene Wright of IL; 2 Daughters: Valerie Jean Eldridge of Monrovia, IN and Barbara L. Hurst of VA; 13 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren; and 1 Brother, Jeryl Wright of IL. He is also preceded in death by 1 Daughter, Myrna Kay Tatum; 1 Sister, Anna Jackson; and 3 Brothers: Jack, Bob, and Roger Wright.

Calling hours for Val Wright will be from 3-8pm, Wednesday, February 27, 2008 and 9-10am, Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Jones Family Mortuary. The funeral will be at 10:00am, Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Jones Family Mortuary with Kurt Alexander to officiate. Val will be laid to rest at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, IN. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Monrovia Christian Church.
