Obituary for Thelma I. Stevens

Thelma I. Stevens, 82, of Camby, IN died August 30, 2004 in Martinsville, IN. She previously lived in Indianapolis, IN for 11 years and Heltonville/Bedford area for 20 years. She was born in Jackson City, IN on July 15, 1922 to Willie and Hazel Cummings. She was a 1940 Graduate of Shawswick High School. She was a homemaker and attended Mooresville Kingdom Hall of Jehova's Witnesses.

Her husband, Harley Stevens, preceded her in death, along with 1 Grandson: Robert Stevens; 2 brothers: Carl & Harold Cummings; 1 sister: Catherine Ramsey. She is survived by 4 children: Donovan Stevens of Indianapolis,IN; Connie Stover of Camby, IN; Beverly Stevens of Camby,IN; Jeanne Gambill of Camby, IN; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 2 brothers: Leon and Joseph Cummings of Bedford, IN; 3 sisters: Ruth Cummings of Bedford, IN;Essie Blackwell of Heltonville, IN; Shirley George of Bedford, IN.

Visitation will be 4-8pm, Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at Jones Family Mortuary. Funeral Services will be at 10:30am on Thursday, September 2, 2004 at Jones Family Mortuary. John Petty Jr. will be officiating. She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, IN. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
