Obituary for Thelma L. Hamock

Thelma L. Hamock, 87, of North Fort Myers, FL, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2013. Thelma was born to Emmett R. and Audrey (Dillinger) Hancock on August 18, 1925 in Indianapolis, IN. She graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1942. Thelma married Max E. Hamock on April 28, 1986. Thelma has four children, Larry, Alan, Karen and Garry Sipos and two step sons, Robert and Edward Hamock.

Thelma worked in Accident Records and Fingerprinting for the Indiana State Police for 20 years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Ft. Myers, FL and Camby Community Church. She was also a 50 year member of West Newton Order of Eastern Star. Thelma has lived in North Fort Myers, FL for 27 years, Pittsboro, IN for 12 years and her birthplace of Indianapolis, IN for 25 years.

Thelma is survived by her husband of 27 years, Max E. Hamock of North Fort Myers, FL; four children, Larry (Gail) Sipos of CA, Alan (Sharon) Sipos of Brownsburg, IN, Karen Sipos of Greenwood, IN and Garry Sipos of Indianapolis, IN; two step sons, Robert (Judy) Hamock of Plainfield, IN and Edward (Jeanine) Hamock of Kokomo, IN; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Thelma was previously married to Lloyd O'Donnell. She is preceded in death by her parents, Emmett R. and Audrey (Dillinger) Hancock.

Family and friends may attend calling hours from 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2013 and 9-10 a.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. Charles Paxton will officiate the 10 a.m. Celebration of Life Funeral on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary. Thelma will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery.
