Obituary for Shirley Ann Barkman

Shirley Ann Barkman, 76, Monrovia, IN passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. She was born in Cincinnati, OH on March 15, 1937 to the late Al Connor and Jeanette (Rodgers) Cooper. She married Jon B. Barkman on June 18, 1959.

Shirley lived in Monrovia for 37 years where she was a proud homemaker. She was a member of Hazelwood Topps Club, enjoyed needlepoint, flowers, and her pet dog, "JJ".

Shirley is survived by her husband; 4 children: Thomas (Cindy) Barkman, Scott Barkman, Jonna (Russell) Wright and Jenny (James) Rhea; 6 grandchildren: Eli, Gwen, Tiffy, Jon, Lacy and Dusty; 8 great grandchildren; 4 brothers: Albert, Joe and Bob Connor and Eddie Imel and sister, Patty Brown.

Friends may call from 10-11am, Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Services will be held at 11am, Saturday, August 3, 2013 also at Jones Family Mortuary. Shirley will be laid to rest in Zollman Family Cemetery in Medora, IN.
