Obituary for Sherman R. Scott

Sherman R. Scott, 75, of Martinsville died April 13, 2005. He was born July 14, 1929 to the late Jasper Granville Scott and Maudie (Wright) Scott. He married Stella (Moore) Scott September 17, 1981. He was a member of Nashville Greasy Creek Pentacostal Church. He was also a leader of Sunshine Gospel Singers. Before retiring in 1992, he was a Maintance Technician at Hydraulic Press Brick in Brooklyn for 25 years.

He is survived by Spouse: Stella (Moore) Scott of Martinsville, IN; 1 Son: Marty Ray Scott of KY; 2 Step Sons: Donald and James Harris of Indianapolis; 2 Brothers: Charles and Clyde Scott of KY; 7 Sisters: Edna Bertram of KY; Viola Bertram of Peoria, IL; Ada Miller, Ona Mundy, Emma Rose Rogers, Nannie Long and Betty Jean Johnson, all of KY. He was preceded in death by 4 Brothers and 3 Sisters.

Visitation is 2-6pm Sunday, April 17, 2005 at Jones Family Mortuary. Funeral is at 10am Monday, April 18, 2005 and will be officiated by Hughes Smith. Memorial Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
