Obituary for Sharon J. Casey

Sharon J. Casey, 58 years of age passed away Thursday, January 7, 2010. She was born July 4, 1951 in Bloomington, IN to the late Otis and Florence (Wilson) Deckard. She married James M. Casey of Martinsville.

Sharon lived in Martinsville, IN for 20 years and in Bloomington, IN for 22 years. She loved fishing, camping, and working with her hands. She was also a Homemaker.

Sharon is survived by her Husband, James M. Casey of Martinsville, IN; 4 Children: Michael Smith of Bloomfield, IN, Richard Smith of Martinsville, IN, Melody Smith of VA, and Angela Balsley of Mooresville, IN; 10 Grandchildren: Cheyenne and Sierra Smith, Lana Casey, Miranda, Ricky, Richard, Bailey, Alicia, Gavin and Katlyn Smith; 1 Great Granddaughter, Raleigh Smith; 4 Brothers: Gene Deckard of Bloomfield, IN, Jim Deckard of Brazil, IN, Joe Deckard of Stanford, IN, and Jerry Deckard of Salsbury, IN; 3 Sisters: Stella Montgomery of Bloomington, IN, Shirley Eads of Heltonville, IN, and Sue Burch of Hendricksville, IN.

There will be calling hours for Sharon from 2-7pm, Sunday, January 10, 2010 and from 9-10am, Monday, January 11, 2010 at Jones Family Mortuary. The funeral service will be at 10am, Monday, January 11, 2010. Sharon will be laid to rest at White Lick Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Sharon Casey Family Fund, c/o James Casey.
