Obituary for Ruth M. Cooper

Ruth M. Cooper, 82, of Mooresville, died on July 24, 2011. Ruth was born to Ernie & Fern (Boswell) Phillips on December 3, 1928 in Norris City, IL. She married Turner "Lee" Cooper on October 10, 1947.

From 1973-1993, Ruth was a Cook for the Mooresville VFW Post 1111. She was also a member and Past President of the Mooresville VFW Ladies Auxillary Post 1111. She has lived in Mooresville, IN for 42 years, 10 years in Indianapolis, IN and 19 years in her birthplace of Norris City, IL.

She is survived by 4 sons, Danny L. (Diane) Cooper of Angola, IN, Donald E. I(Vickie) Cooper of MI, Dennis K.(Dene) Cooper of Mooresville, IN and Douglas D. (Tammy) Cooper of Mooresville, IN; 12 grandchildren & 18 great grandchildren.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Ernie & Fern (Boswell) Phillips; husband, Turner Lee Cooper; 1 granddaughter, Bethany Cooper; 2 sisters, Ruby Simmons & Roma Millspaugh.

Calling will be from 4-8pm, Friday, July 29, 2011 and 9-10am, Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Jones Family Mortuary. Don Cooper will officiate the 10am funeral on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Jones Family Mortuary. Ruth will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery, where graveside services are private.
