Obituary for Russell E. Begley

Russell E. Begley, 72, of Martinsville, IN, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2013. Russell was born to Jesse James & Eva L. (Vorhies) Begley on May 3, 1940 in Indianapolis, IN. Russell was a 1958 Arsenal Tech High School Graduate. Russell served his country bravely by serving in the United States Army. Russell married Mary E. (Kane) Begley on May 3, 1969.

Russell retired as a Quality Control Supervisor for Rexnord Corporation, formerly Link Belt after 37 years, retiring in 2000. He is a member of SS Francis & Clare Catholic Church in Greenwood. He is a former member of K of C in Mooresville, IN. He was a member of the Guitar Club in Indianapolis, IN. Russell also volunteered for St. Francis Hospital for 5 years. He has lived in Martinsville, IN since 1976 and his birthplace of Indianapolis, IN for 36 years.

Russell is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary E. Begley of Martinsville, IN; 4 children, Lisa Worman, David Begley Irrgang, Julie (Craig Garrison) Begley & Mary Ann (Brad) Sturm; 4 Grandchildren, Jordan & Brayden Sturm, Josie Garrison & Michael Worman & 1 great grandson, Tyson Worman.

Family & friends may attend calling from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center in Mooresville, IN. Father Paul Landwerlen will officiate the 11 am Celebration of Life Funeral Mass at SS Francis & Clare Catholic Church in Greenwood, IN on Wednesday, March 6, 2013.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Francis Hospice.
