Obituary for Robert Earl (Bobby) Collins

Robert Earl (Bobby) Collins, 71 years of age passed away Sunday, September 27, 2009. He was born March 25, 1938 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Donald Earl and Mabel Bell (Kiser) Collins.

Bobby lived in Danville, IN for 4 1/2 years and in Indianapolis, IN for most of his life. He was a 1957 George Washington High School Graduate and was a Army Veteran of the Korean War. He attended Bethesda Baptist Church in Brownsburg, IN and was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed bowling. Before retiring in 1978, he worked as a utility person for Western Electric in Indianapolis, IN for 20 years.

Bobby is survived by 2 Sisters, Mary F. Beach of Plainfield, IN and Betty L. Collins; 1 Brother, Delbert F. Collins of Camby, IN; and Several Nieces and Nephews. He is also preceded in death by 1 Sister, Jean L. Hunter.

Calling hours for Bobby will be from 3-7pm, Wednesday, September 30, 2009 and from 10-11am, Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Jones Family Mortuary. The funeral will be at 11am, Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Jones Family Mortuary with Tony Maynard to officiate. Bobby will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN.
