Obituary for Richard Darrell Garrett

Richard Darrell Garrett, 50, of Mooresville, IN, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2013. Richard was born to Hobert and Arleen (Garret) Garrett on June 24, 1962 in Martinsville, IN. Richard married Trudy A. (Hook) Garrett on September 6, 1996 and they have two children, Casey Hook and Angel Garrett.

Richard was an Insulation Installer for AllSeasons Insulation in Plainfield, IN for 32 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was an avid NASCAR and Colts fan. Most of all, he enjoyed his family. He attended Bethel Friends Church.

Richard is survived by his childhood sweetheart of 37 years, Trudy A. (Hook) Garrett of Mooresville, IN; two children, Casey Hook and Angel Garrett, both of Mooresville, IN; a grandson, Billy Joe Layton of Indianapolis, IN; two brothers, Hobert Garrett Jr. and Chris Garrett, both of Indianapolis, IN; four sisters, Wanda Lloyd and Brenda Qualizza, both of Indianapolis, IN, Diane Autry of Greenwood, IN and Angie Jett of LA. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Hobert and Arleen (Garret) Garrett and a brother, Mack Garrett.

Family and friends may attend calling hours from 5-8 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2013 and 9-10 a.m., Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. Don Meier will officiate the 10 a.m. celebration of life service on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary. Richard will be laid to rest at White Lick Cemetery.
