Obituary for Reginald D. Griffey

Reginald D. Griffey, 70, of Bargersville, IN died October 15, 2004. He was born July 4, 1934 in Indianapolis,IN to parents Bernard D. Griffey and August F. (Wright) Griffey. He lived in Indianapolis,IN for most of his life. He attended Monrovia High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was discharged in 1955. He worked for the consruction crew at Indiana Bell for 36 years before retiring 1991. He was a member of the Bell Conservation Club, Life Member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association, and a Life Member of the Indianapolis VFW #7119.

He is preceded in death by Wife: Phyllis (Moore) Griffey; Mother: August (Wright) Griffey; Father: Bernard D. Griffey; Daughter: Madonna Griffey-Hawley; He is survived by Son: David Griffey of Bargersville, IN; Daughters: Lynn Vance of Bargersville,IN; Linda Frische of Greenwood, IN; 9 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Step Great Grandchildren; Sisters: Rita Wychiskalla of Indianapolis, IN and Suzanne Wolfe of Alabama; Brother: Eric Griffey of Maryland.

Visitation will be at Jones Family Mortuary on Monday, October 18, 2004 from 3-8pm. Funeral will be officiated by Robert Armao Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at 10am at Jones Family Mortuary. Memorial Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
