Obituary for Raymond Nelson Stader

Raymond Nelson Stader 71, Monrovia, died Friday, February 25, 2005. He was born September 24, 1933 to Ferris and Peggy (Bertram) Stader. He was a 1951 graduate of Monrovia High School and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Stader was director of SCI-REMC, Martinsville for 20 years and a board member 15 years of Hoosier Energy, Bloomington. Previously he was director of Co. Bank in Denver, CO, manager for Morgan County Rural Water in Martinsville and also owned and operated Stader Real Estate and Tax Service for 30 years, retiring in 2000. He was Past Master of Monrovia Masonic Lodge 654, Monrovia, a member of American Legion Post 193, Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite and Murat Shrine.

He was preceded in death by parents; brothers Harold, James, Paul and Carl Stader; sister Josephine Hadley. Survivors include wife Barbara (Shields) Stader; children Terri (Bruce) Speck, Jody (Gio) Veraldi, Brian (Joanie) Stader; six grandchildren Jason and Janel Lannan, Amber and Adam Speck, Connor and Brock Stader; brother Robert Stader.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2005 in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville, with calling there from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 28, 2005 and one hour prior to service on Tuesday. Masonic service will be at 7:30 p.m. February 28, 2005. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall, IN.
