Obituary for Paula Jean (Burke) Conner
Paula Jean (Burke) Conner, 48, of Lawrence, IN died on December 24, 2010. She was born on May 9, 1962 in Indianapolis, IN to John C. Burke and Lucille (Adcock) Burke. She married Gary B. Conner on February 14, 1991. She is the mother to 3 wonderful children, Austin, Taylor and Nicolas.
She was a 1980 Mooresville High School Graduate, 1984 Graduate of Mid-America College of Funeral Service, 1997 Honors graduate from Butler University College of Pharmacy with a Pharmacy Degree where she also earned a Butler University Academic Scholarship.
For the past 12 years, she was working as a Pharmacist for CVS in Lawrence, IN. Previously, she had worked as a Pharmacist for Methodist Hospital and Riley Hospital for Children as well as a Funeral Director for Thompson-Brown-Urban Funeral Home in Connersville, IN for 5 years.
She was a Member of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, Girl Scouts of America and National Honor Society.
She has lived in Lawrence, IN for the past 20 years and previously, she lived in Mooresville, IN for 28 years. She belonged to the Church of Christ faith.
She is survived by her husband, Gary B. Conner, City Councilor in Lawrence, IN; 3 Children, Austin, Taylor and Nicolas Conner; Mother, Lucille Burke of Mooresville, IN; 4 Sisters; Judith Lacey of Kansas, Barbara Cherry of Kentucky and Donna Moffat and Lynda Burke of Mooresville, IN; 1 Brother, John L. Burke of California.
She is preceded in death by her Father, John C. Burke and 2 Brothers, Gerald and Kevin Burke.
Calling will be from 2-8pm, Wednesday, December 29, 2010 and from 1-2pm, Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Jones Crossing Banquet & Event Center in Mooresville, IN. Gary B. Conner and Larry Ping II will officiate the 2pm Funeral Service on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Jones Crossing Banquet and Event Center in Mooresville, IN. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Paula Conner Scouting Activities Fund C/O Chase Bank.
