Obituary for Murl Junior Saylors

Murl Junior Saylors, 69 years of age of Mooresville, IN passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2008. He was born September 17, 1939 in Scottsville, KY to the late Thurman and Nellie (Oliver) Saylors. He married Peggy A. (Perry) Saylors of Mooresville, IN on November 17, 1962.

Murl has lived in Mooresville, IN for most of his life and also in Scottsville, KY for 29 years. He was an US Army Veteran in the Vietnam War and was also a member of the Calvary Tabernacle in Indianapolis, IN. Murl was a Certified Welder for GM Allison Diesel in Indianapolis, IN for 30 years. He also operated Bestway Termite and Pest Control in Mooresville, IN for 20 years, retiring in 1999.

He is survived by his Wife, Peggy A. (Perry) Saylors of Mooresville, IN; 2 Children, Leanne (David) Rantanen of Carmel, IN and Todd Douglas (Lisa Young) Saylors of Greenwood, IN; 3 Grandsons: Colt Barrick Saylors, Broc Perry Rantanen, and Grant Taylor Rantanen; 1 Brother, Bobby Wayne (Barbara) Saylors of KY; 2 Sisters, Follis Perdue of KY and Novene (James) Wood of KY. He is also preceded in death by 1 Brother, Gary Dean Saylors and 2 Sisters, Lassie Carver and Flossie CArter.

Calling hours for Murl will be from 10am to 1pm, Saturday, December 6, 2008 with the Funeral beginning at 1pm, Saturday, December 6, 2008. Timmy Saylors will officiate the Service and Murl will be laid to rest at Nebo Memorial Park in Martinsville, IN. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
