Obituary for Melinda E. Gillihan

Melinda E. Gillihan, 85 years of age passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2009. She was born January 3, 1924 in Scottsville, KY to the late Charles J. and Johnie T. (Morgan) Turner. She married the late Thomas M. Gillihan on September 14, 1940

Melinda lived in Martinsville, IN and Mooresville, IN for most of her life. She was a member of the North Madison Baptist Church and enjoyed camping and being around horses. She worked as a Production Line Worker for RCA for 30 years.

Melinda is survived by 1 Daughter, Jo Carol Dodd of Martinsville, IN; 3 Grandchildren: Shanna Dodd of Mooresville, IN, Shane Dodd of TN, and Travis Dodd of Indianapolis, IN; 2 Great Grandsons, Devin Dodd of Mooresville, IN and Titus Dodd of Indianapolis, IN; and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by 1 Brother, Dewie Neal Turner and 1 Sister, Lucille Turner.

Calling hours for Melinda will be from 2-7pm, Sunday, November 1, 2009 and from 10-11am, Monday, November 2, 2009 at Jones Family Mortuary. The funeral will be at 11am, Monday, November 2, 2009 at Jones Family Mortuary. Billy Gott will officiate the service and Melinda will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, IN.
