Obituary for Margret Loretta Eakin

Margret Loretta Eakin, 76, died on July 1, 2010. She was born on December 3, 1933 in Rockcastle, KY to the late Charles C. Brock and Katherine (Simpson) Brock. She married the late James H. Eakin on July 7, 1961. She lived most of her life in Indianapolis, IN. She earned her GED in 1974 and attended IUPUI for 2 years. She was Owner/Operator with her brother and sister of Hi-Lo Restaurants in Indianapolis, IN for 20 years. She was a former member of the West Newton Eastern Star.

She is survived by 6 Children: James Murphy of Cloverdale, IN, John & Ronald Murphy of Indianapolis, IN, Pamela Brady & Connie Stambaugh of New Whiteland, IN and James Eakin Jr. of Indianapolis, IN; 9 Grandchildren & 18 Great Grandchildren; 2 Brother in laws: Edward Burkhead & John Pierce; 1 Sister in law: Helen Adams; Special Niece & Nephew: Roger & Debi Arbogast. She is preceded in death by her Parents: Charles C. & Katherine Brock; Husband: James H. Eakin; Previous Spouse: John H. Murphy; 1 Step Son: Keith H. Eakin; 4 Brothers: Harold Adams, Dewey, Charles C. Jr. and Everett Brock and 2 Sisters: Evelyn Jean Pierce and Mildred Burkhead.

Calling will be from 4-8pm on Monday, July 5, 2010 and 9-10am, Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Jones Family Mortuary. Brother Robert Carter will officiate the 10am Funeral Service at Jones Family Mortuary on July 6, 2010. She will be buried at West Newton Cemetery.
