Obituary for Lois J. Dunagan (Stephens)

Lois J. (Stephens) Dunagan, 74, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Methodist Hospital. She was born January 6, 1942 in Pine Knot, KY to Porter and Maudie (Gilreath) Stephens. She married Hobart Dunagan.

Lois lived seventeen years in Pine Knot, KY and most of her life in Indianapolis. She was an assembly line worker for Harman Motive in Martinsville for five years. She was a member of Crossroads Church of Avon and loved spending time with her family.

Lois is survived by her three children: Dan Hicks, Teresa Frost and Doris Frost; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brother, Raymerrill Stephens; three sisters: twin sister, Joyce Napier, Shirley Hicks and Ruth Ball. Lois is also preceded in death by her husband, Hobart Dunagan and her parents, Porter and Maudie (Gilreath) Stephens.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 4:00 pm. to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, November 9, 2016 and 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Tom Carter will officiate the celebration of life service at 11:00 am, Thursday at the funeral home. Lois will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
