Obituary for Kenneth E. Cecil

Kenneth E. Cecil, 84 years of age passed away May 30, 2010. He was born May 2, 1926 in Hamilton County, IN to the late Gilbert and Marie (Nevitt) Cecil. Kenneth married Marietta F. (Marker) Cecil on January 28, 1955.

He lived in Hamilton County; Indianapolis, IN; and in Monrovia, IN for 40 years. He was an Army WWII Veteran and was a member of the Monrovia Christian Church and Mooresville VFW Post 1111. Kenneth was a Truck Driver for Yellow Freight Trucking in Indianapolis, IN for 26 years, retiring in 1991. Previously, he was a Mechanic for Johnson Chevrolet in Indianapolis, IN for 8 years and a Truck Driver for Fast Freight Trucking in Indianapolis, IN for 10 years.

Kenneth is survived by his Wife, Marietta F. Cecil of Monrovia, IN; 2 Sons, Larry Cecil of Morton, IN and Michael Cecil of Venice, FL; 2 Daughters, Brenda Staley of Monrovia, IN and Sandra Frye of Monrovia, IN; 1 Step Daughter, Connie Worth of Lafayette, IN; 11 Grandchildren; Several Great Grandchildren; 1 Brother, Stephen Cecil of Marion, IN; and 1 Sister, Helen Humbles of Noblesville, IN. He is also preceded in death by 2 Sisters, Ruth Childress and Frances Thomlinson.

Calling hours for Kenneth Cecil will be from 4-8pm, Wednesday, June 2, 2010 and from 9-10am, Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Jones Family Mortuary. The Funeral will be at 10am, Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Jones Family Mortuary. Richard Dickison will officiate the service and Kenneth will be laid to rest at Clayton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Monrovia Christian Church
