Obituary for Jennie L. Wellenkamp

Jennie L. Wellenkamp, 77, of Plainfield, died on July 7, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospice. She was born on December 30, 1933 in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Lone Allison and Willie (McDonald) Allison.

She lived in the Indianapolis area since 1950 and previously in Arkansas for 13 years. She was a Computer Data Processor for Eli Lilly Company in Indianapolis for 34 years before retiring in 1990. She loved reading and was an avid sports fan.

Jennie is survived by 1 granddaughter, Jennifer (John) Miller; 3 great granddaughters: Breann Engelau, Lala Redd and Julieann Miller; several nieces and nephews; caretaker and son in law, Larry Strong. She was preceded by 1 daughter, Julia R. Strong, parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Calling will be 11am - 1pm, Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Jones Family Mortuary with the service at 1pm. She will be laid to rest at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield. Website and online condolences at www.jonesfamilymortuary.com.
