Jane Ellen "Janie" (Rooker) Rooker, 61, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2016. Jane was born to Jack and Joyce (Reiten) Rooker on September 11, 1954 in Ashland, WI. She graduated from Decatur Central High School in 1974.

Jane was a Medical Assistant for the Stirling Clinic in Decatur Township for 5 years. She was a member of the Kenny Dowden American Legion Women's Auxillary Post # 64. She loved being surrounded by family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards. She was an avid sports fan, especially with the Indianapolis Colts. She lived in Indianapolis and her birthplace of Ashland, WI.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Sarah (Justin) Green of Mooresville; four grandchildren, Robert, Kassie, Brooklyn and Jason; a sister, Joy Berman of Indianapolis; and a brother, Jack Rooker of FL. Jane is preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Jimmy Rooker.

There will be a 5 p.m. celebration of life memorial service followed by a 6 p.m. buffet dinner and fellowship at Kenneth N. Dowden American Legion Wayne Post 64, 601 S. Holt Road, Indianapolis, IN 46241.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Janie Rooker Memorial Fund, with checks made out to Toni Capito, 9502 S. County Road 350 West, Clayton, IN 46118.
