Obituary for Jack L. Fleener

Jack L. Fleener, 78, of Monrovia, IN, died on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Jack was born to Earl L. & Gleedith (Stevens) Fleener on November 22, 1933 in Indianapolis, IN. Jack married Mary Jane "Janie" (Pickett) Fleener on January 21, 1955.

Jack worked for Citizens Gas in Indianapolis, IN for 27 years, retiring in 1995 as a Machine Operator. Jack loved the outdoors, boating, camping and NASCAR. He has lived in Monrovia, IN for the past 30 years and his birthplace of Indianapolis, IN for 20 years.

Jack is survived by his wife, Mary Jane "Janie" (Pickett) Fleener of Monrovia, IN; 4 children, Wilma Fleener of Columbus, IN, Jack L. (Carol) Fleener of Brownsburg, IN, Nyla (Tom) Shank of Eminence, IN, Rhonda (Chuck) Deardorff of Brownsburg, IN; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Earl L. & Gleedith (Stevens) Fleener; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Calling will be from 4-8pm, Monday, January 9, 2012 and 10:30-11:30am, Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. Billy Gott will officiate the 11:30am funeral service on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Jones Family Mortuary. Jack will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery.
