Obituary for Hobert Garrett

Hobert Garrett, 92 of Indianapolis, IN passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008. He was born on July 22, 1915 in Pennington Gap, VA to the late James and Hattie (Henderson) Garrett. Hobert married the late Arleen (Garrett) Garrett on February 24, 1945.

He has lived in Indianpolis, IN and also in Mooresville, IN for most of his life. He was an Army Veteran in World War II. He loved fishing, gardening, and selling apples for Anderson Orchard. Hobert was a Spray Painter for Hoist and Derricik Company in Indianpolis, IN for 30 years and retired in 1978.

Hobert is survived by 7 Children: Wanda Lloyd of Indianpolis, IN, Brenda Qualizza of Indianpolis, IN, Hobert Garrett Jr. of Speedway, IN, Diane Autry of Indianapolis, IN, Christopher Garrett of Franklin, IN, Richard Garrett of Mooresville, IN, and Angie Jett of Whiteland, IN; 20 Grandchildren; and 36 Great Grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by 1 Son, Mack Garret; 4 Brothers; and 1 Sister.

Calling hours will be from 11am-12noon, Wednesday, April 2, 2008 with the funeral beginning at 12noon, Wednesday, April 2, 2008. Don Meijer will officiate and Hobert will be laid to rest at White Lick Cemetery.
