Obituary for Guy F. Goldsberry

Guy F. Goldsberry, 84 years of age passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010. He was born on April 7, 1926 in Loogootee, IN to the late George and Nellie Elizabeth (Edmondson) Goldsberry. Guy married Jewell (Spires) Goldsberry of Mooresville, IN on February 12, 1949.

Guy lived in Mooresville, IN for 51 years and was an Army Veteran from World War II. He was a member of the Mooresville American Legion, Mooresville VFW Post 1111, Former Brown Township Volunteer Fireman and participated in Mooresville Jr. Baseball League for 18 years. Before retiring in 1984, he was a Truck Driver for Sunoco in Indianapolis, IN for several years.

Guy Goldsberry is survived by his Wife, Jewell (Spires) Goldsberry of Mooresville, IN; 5 Children: Jerry Goldsberry of Clayton, IN, Larry Goldsberry of Plainfield, IN, Donna Powers of Anderson, IN, Harold Goldsberry of West Chester, OH, and Carl Goldsberry of Indianapolis, IN; 10 Grandchildren; and 4 Great Grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by 3 Brothers.

Calling hours for Guy will be from 2-7pm, Sunday, August 29, 2010 and from 9-10am, Monday, August 30, 2010 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. Dave Colgan and Jeff Newton will officiate the service and Guy will be laid to rest at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield, IN.
