Obituary for Glenn Morris Burelison

Glenn Morris Burelison, 78, of Mooresville, Indiana passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016 at his home. He was born August 27, 1937 in Hagerstown, IN to the late Hubert and Ruby (Cates) Burelison. He married Patricia Marie (Larkins) Burelison on April 30, 1960.

Glenn lived in Kankakee, IL for 10 years, Indianapolis for 6 years and Mooresville since 1978. He was a dairy farmer for 10 years. He also worked for Hoosier water company in Mooresville for 20 years before retiring in 1988. He enjoyed bowling and fishing. He was a member of Eternal Life Baptist Church in Mooresville.

Glenn is survived by 4 children: Cheryl Brown of Indianapolis, Glenn "Skip" Burelison Jr. of Mooresville, Stardust (Burelison) Bastin of Mooresville and David Burelison of Mooresville; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 4 brothers: Larry Burelison of Winchester, Tommy Burelison of Ohio, Duane Tyler of Ohio and Butch Burelison of Indianapolis; 3 sisters: Anita Barnett of Kankakee, IL, Carylon Jorgenson of Wisconsin and Donna Statler of Idaho; 2 step brothers: Dick York of Pennsylvania and Jimmy York of Louisiana; step sister, Phyllis York of Pennsylvania. Glenn is also preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Richardson; granddaughter, Erin Mosier; set of twin siblings, 2 brothers, Bob and James Burelison and a sister, Donnella Stone.

Visitation for Glenn will be 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 27 and 9-10 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Don Endsley will officiate the celebration of life service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Jones Family Mortuary. It was Glenn's wishes that everyone come casually dressed and preferably no black clothing. Glenn has chosen to be cremated following the services and have his ashes buried in White Lick Cemetery at a later date.
