Obituary for George E. Robison

George E. Robison, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on December 9, 2015. He was born to Gaylord and Nina (MacDonald) Robison on February 1, 1936 in Indianapolis. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He married Thelma V. (White) on March 11, 1961.

George was a Shift Supervisor of the trouble department for IPL in Indianapolis for 37 years, retiring in 1994. He was a life member of Mooresville VFW Post 1111, member of Kenneth N. Dowden American Legion Wayne Post 64 and member of Amvets Post 45 in Buchanan, TN. He enjoyed all sports. He lived in Indianapolis for all of his life.

George is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Thelma Robison of Indianapolis; two children, George (Diann) Robison of Eminence, Roxanna (Dwight) Smith of Wilbur; two grandchildren, Brandon and Heather; three great-granddaughters, Destiny, Kaylee and Natalie; two brothers, John and Jerry Robison; two sisters, Margaret Goodman and Linda Shockley. George is preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.

Family and friends may gather from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, December 13, 2015 and 10-11 a.m., Monday, December 14, 2015 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Rev. William Kipp Glenn will officiate George's celebration of life service at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 14, 2015 at Jones Family Mortuary. George will be laid to rest in Fairfield Cemetery, Camby.
