Obituary for Gary E. McCracken

Gary E. McCracken, 67 years of age, of Indianapolis, IN passed away Monday, October 25, 2010. He was born October 9, 1943 in Abingdon, IL to the late Forrest and Jessie McCracken. Gary married Pennie (Cunningham) McCracken of Indianapolis, IN on October 28, 1977.

Gary lived in Oklahoma City, OK and in Indianapolis, IN for all of his life. He was also a Navy Veteran from the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Indianapolis American Legion Post 64 and the Indianapolis VFW Post 908. He was a Truck Driver for PJAX in Indianapolis, IN and other trucking companies all of his life.

Gary is survived by his Wife, Pennie (Cunningham) McCracken of Indianapolis, IN; 3 Children: Allen (Mia) Rogers of Oklahoma City, OK, Annette (Greg) Richards of Franklin, IN, and Jerry A. Rogers of Nocona, TX; 6 Grandchildren: Justin Rogers, Jacob Richards, Kaylie Rogers, Tyler Richards, Jenny Richards, and Lucky Rogers; and Loved Ones that will miss and mourn him: Roger and Linda Clark, Belva Oliphant, Oliver and Dorothy Partin, Raymond and Pearl Cockrain, Rick and Kelly Neel, Kenny and Charlene King; and Numerous Nieces, Nephews, family, friends, and neighbors. He is also preceded in death by his Parents, Forrest and Jessie McCracken.

There will be calling hours for Gary from 11:30am-12:30pm, Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. The funeral will be at 1pm, Thursday, October 28, 2010 with Larry McAdams to officiate. Gary will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery.
