Obituary for Ernest (Ernie) Alvin Byrnes

Ernest (Ernie) Alvin Byrnes, 73 of Mooresville, IN passed away Friday, March 21, 2008. He was born November 8, 1934 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Frances Louis Byrnes and the late Emma Mae (Dalton) Byrnes.

Ernest has lived in Mooresville, IN for most of his life and also in Indianapolis, IN for 24 years. He was a member of the Mooresville VFW #1111 and also the Mooresville American Legion #103. He worked at the Strange Garage as a Mechanic for 30 years and also was a self employed mechanic.

Ernie is survived by his Companion, Barbara Young of Mooresville, IN; 4 Children: Greg Byrnes of Mooresville, IN, Lee Ann Smith of Indianapolis, IN, Tina Justus of Greenwood, IN, and Lisa Drury of Martinsville, IN; 12 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; 7 Brothers: Donald, Leroy, Tom, Max, Raymond, Lawrence, and Jimmy Byrnes; 3 Sisters: Jean Hinshaw, Rene Wellenstein, and Dory Stokes. He is also preceded in death by Grace Staccato, Midge Lear, and Phyllis Burton.

Calling hours for Ernest is from 4-7pm, Monday, March 24, 2008 with the funeral beginning at 7pm, Monday, March 24, 2008.
