Obituary for Emma Jean Thrasher

Emma Jean Thrasher, 73 of Camby, IN passed away Friday, March 7, 2008. She was born June 6, 1934 in Stickleyville, VA to the late John R. Harless and the late Maude E. (Lane) Harless. Emma married the late Prentice Thrasher on September 18, 1952.

Emma has lived in Camby, IN for most of her life and in Stickleyville, VA for 16 years. She was a 1950 Graduate from Pennington High in Pennington Gap, VA. She was a Past Member of the Charity Tabernacle and also did Housekeeping for St. Francis Hospital in Mooresville, IN for 10 years. Previously, she worked at Automotive Armature in Mooresville, IN for 23 years.

Emma is survived by 3 Sons: John K. Thrasher of Camby, IN, Ronald L. Thrasher of Mooresville, IN, and Jeffrey Thrasher of Mooresville, IN; Step Son, Harold K. Thrasher of Florida; 2 Brothers, James D. Harless of Camby, IN, Lee Harless of Duffield, VA; 2 Sisters, Julie Pugh of Ewing, VA and Wanda Woods of Duffield, VA; 7 Grandchildren; 5 Step Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren; and 14 Step Great Grandchildren.She is also preceded in death by 2 Brothers, Tommy and Bill Harless.

Calling hours for Emma will be from 10-11am, Monday, March 10, 2008 with the funeral beginning at 11am, Monday March 10, 2008 at Jones Family Mortuary. Warren Pugh will be officiating the service and Emma will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery.
