Obituary for Ellen Ann Bordner

Ellen Ann Bordner, 70, of West Newton, IN, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2013. Ellen Ann was born to Howard John Walker Jr. and Venitia Helen (Armstrong) Walker on August 10, 1943 in West Newton, IN. Ellen Ann was a 1961 Decatur Central High School Graduate. Ellen Ann married Joseph "Clark" Bordner II on June 13, 1965.

Ellen Ann was a Homemaker. She was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and Decatur Central High School Alumni Association. She loved collecting cows. She enjoyed her pets and spending time with her grandchildren.

Ellen Ann is survived by her husband of 48 years, Joseph "Clark" Bordner II of West Newton, IN; two daughters, Kari (Jeff) Bordner of Noblesville, IN and Amie (Greg) Tomaszewski of Plainfield, IN; two grandchildren, Lizzie and Trent; a sister, Cheryl Meadows; a nephew, Jeff Beasley and a niece, Stephanie Meadows. Ellen Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Howard John Walker Jr. and Venetia Helen (Armstrong) Walker.

Family and friends may attend calling hours from 2-7 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2013 and 9-10 a.m., Monday, September 30, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. Father Glenn O'Connor will officiate the 10 a.m. celebration of life service on Monday, September 30, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary. Ellen Ann will be laid to rest in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, IN.

Memorial Contributions can be made to the Central Indiana Humane Society or Decatur Central High School Alumni Association.
