Obituary for Earl E. (Bud) Lowry

Earl E. "Bud" Lowry, 72, of Monrovia,IN died April 18, 2009. He was born on September 15, 1936 in Brooklyn,IN to the late Earl F. and Edith (Arnold) Lowry. He was a 1954 Martinsville High School Graduate. He married Rachel (Cook) Lowry on September 14, 1962 and she survives.

He was a Mechanic and Shop Chief for OMS 1 Stout Field and retired Sergeant Major in the Indiana National Guard after 37 years.

He attended Monrovia United Methodist Church. He lived in Monrovia, IN for 21 years, Camby,IN for 25 years and Centerton, IN for 20 years. He enjoyed restoring old cars, tractors and lawn mowers. He also enjoyed attending tractor and car shows. He loved spending time and playing with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife: Rachel Lowry of Monrovia; 2 sons: Mark (Deborah) Lowry of Camby,IN and Jerry (Susan) Lowry of Mooresville;1 daughter: Pam Gladson of Patricksburg, IN; 5 grandchildren;1 brother: Keith Lowry of Shoals,IN;2 sisters: Lois Brock of Martinsville,IN and Jo Ann Shrake of Centerton, IN. He is preceded in death by a sister: Francis Powell.

Calling hours will be from 4-8pm on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 and 9-10am, Wednesday,April 22, 2009. The funeral service will be at 10am, Wednesday, April 22, 2009. Gordon Esterline will officiate the service. Memorial contributions can be made to: Day by Day Hospice, 1668 E.
