Obituary for Dr. Bruce C. Fields

Dr. Bruce C. Fields, 63, of Camby, IN, went to be with the Lord with family by his side on April 23, 2013. Bruce was born to Carlton & Mary Elizabeth "Betty" (Cook) Fields on March 30, 1950 in Indianapolis, IN. Bruce graduated from Decatur Central High School in 1968, received his BA from IU in 1972 & graduated from IU School of Dentistry in 1977. Bruce married Barbara (Dunn) Fields on February 11, 1978.

For the past 35 years, Bruce has had a Family Dentistry Practice in Decatur Township. He has been an active member of Grace Missionary Church. He enjoyed raising, breeding & showing pure bread Arabian horses with his family for many years. Bruce has also enjoyed all his years in Mooresville where he had the pleasure of coaching his 3 sons and a daughter in youth basketball. Bruce has also been very active with the Decatur Township community where he loved serving his patients. He has lived in Camby, IN all of his life.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 35 years, Barbara (Dunn) Fields of Camby, IN; 4 children, Bruce Allen Fields of Camby, IN, Amy (Dustin) Frye of Greenwood, IN, John Fields of Indianapolis, IN & James Fields of Camby, IN; 2 grandchildren, Railee & Eli & a sister, Sharon (Gene) Raymond of TX. Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, Carlton & Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Fields.

Family & friends may attend calling hours from 2-8 pm, Friday, April 26, 2013 & 9:30-10:30 am, Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center, next door to Jones Family Mortuary. Jeff Faull will officiate the 10:30 am Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center. Bruce will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery.
