Obituary for Dorothy Moore Smith Robertson

Dorothy Moore Smith Robertson, 91 years of age went to be with the Lord, with family at her side Monday, August 23, 2010. She was born October 6, 1918 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Senator Hoyt Moore Sr. and the late Helen (Heard) Moore. Dorothy is widowed by Jules Smith and Howard Robertson.

She is a lifetime resident of Indianapolis, IN. She was a 1936 graduate of Decatur Central High School and was a manager of Lyn Moor Trailer Park in Indianapolis, IN for 36 years. She retired in 1983. She was a member of the St. Stephens Lutheran Church and also a 50 year member of the West Newton Order of the Eastern Star. She loved her family and friends and also loved flowers.

Dorothy is survived by 2 Daughters, Judy (Wayne) Horton of Indianapolis, IN and Sharon (Chuck) Bruning of Indianapolis, IN; 2 Step Daughters, Tammy (Gary) Brinkman and Marlene (Buddy) Blanton; 6 Grandchildren: Theresa Wells, James Dean Baker, Clay (Amy) Cooley, Andrea Bailey, Megan (Zack) Eakin and Chad Brinkman; 10 Great Grandchildren; 1 Sister, Virginia (Charles) Helfenberger of Indianapolis, IN; and also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by Parents and 1 Brother, Hoyt Moore "Bud" Jr.

Calling hours for Dorothy will be from 4-8pm, Friday, August 27, 2010 and also from 10-11am, Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Jones Family Mortuary. The funeral will be at 11am, Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. She will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery.
