Obituary for Donald Eugene Smith

Donald Eugene Smith, 72 of Fillmore, IN passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2008. He was born October 4, 1935 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Ralph Smith and the late Leona (Neal) Smith. He married Nancy (Sheets)Smith of Fillmore, IN on October 23, 1957.

Donald lived in Fillmore for 28 years and also in Indianapolis for 45 years. He was an Airforce Veteran in the Korean War. Donald was a member of the West Newton Masonic Lodge #707 and also Honorary Member of the Scottish Rite in Indianapolis, IN. He was a Truck Driver for Preston Truck Lines for 8 years and retired in 1996 and previously, he worked at Murphy Motor Freight for 17 years.

Donald is survived by his Wife, Nancy Smith of Fillmore, IN; 2 Children: Donald E. Smith Jr. of Fillmore, IN and Kyle E. Smith of Fillmore, IN; 8 Grandchildren; and 1 Sister, Barbara Jean Johnson of Greenwood, IN.

Calling hours for Donald will be from 4-8pm, Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Jones Family Mortuary. There will be a Graveside Service at 10am, Friday, February 29, 2008 at West Newton Cemetery in West Newton, IN. Jeff Yutmeyer will be officiating the Graveside Service. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Family Fund c/o Nancy Smith.
