Obituary for Donald Dolph Rose

Donald Dolph Rose 72, of Indianapolis, IN passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2008. He was born June 10, 1936 in Kingston, TN to the late Charles L. and Venna V. (McCloughlin) Duckworth. Donald married Mary Jean (Haley) Rose of Indianapolis, IN on January 8, 1955.

He has lived in Indianapolis, IN for most of his life. Before retiring in 2001, He was a Maintenance Man for the Department of Housing in Indianapolis, IN for 14 year. Previously, he was a Dock Worker for Renner's Express Trucking Company in Indianapolis, IN for 18 years.

Donald is survived by his Wife, Mary Jean (Haley) Rose of Indianapolis, IN; 5 Children: Donnie Rose Jr., Danny Joe Rose Sr., Tammy Goodall, Robin Ferguson, and Dickie Rose; 10 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren; 2 Brothers, Bobby Joe and Dennie Rose. He is also preceded in death by 1 Brother, David Rose and Half Brother, Don Leonard Rose.

Calling hours will be from 2-8pm, Friday, January 2, 2009 and from 11-12noon, Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Jones Family Mortuary. The funeral will be at 12noon, Saturday, January 3, 2009. Donald will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, IN.
