Obituary for Donald R. Ingram Jr.

Donald R. Ingram, Jr., 61, of Avon passed away peacefully at home on December 28, 2013. Don was born in Indianapolis on February 7, 1952 to Donald R. Ingram Sr. and Barbara (Hill) Ingram Dyar. Don graduated from Decatur Central High School in 1970. Don married Karla (Kernodle) Ingram on September 3, 1971.

Don was President & Operations Manager of R & H Truck & Trailer Sales in Vincennes and Evansville for the past 7 years, retiring in 2013. He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was on the Dealer Service Council for Volvo Trucks. He has lived in the Indianapolis area most of his life.

Don is survived by his wife of 42 years, Karla Ingram of Avon, a son, Jack Ingram of Wheatland and a daughter, Andrea (John) Snyder of Avon; five grandchildren, Heidi, Raven, Austin, Whitney and Karsen; his mother, Barbara (Dave) Dyar of Cumberland; a sister, Linda (Gary) Petersen of Indianapolis and a brother, Bill (Debbie) Ingram of Indianapolis. Don is preceded in death by his father, Donald R. Ingram Sr.

Family and friends may gather 2-8pm, Thursday, January 2, 2014 and from 10-11am, Friday, January 3, 2014 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center, next door to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. There will be an 11 a.m. celebration of life service on Friday, January 3, 2014 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center.
