Obituary for Dean G. Egler

Dean G. Egler, 50, Mooresville, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2014. Dean was born to Daniel and Naomi (Gehl) Egler on July 3, 1963 in Jasper. Dean graduated from Jasper High School in 1981 and earned his Bachelors Degree from Purdue in 1985. Dean married Sherrie (Swiger) Egler on November 7, 2009.

Dean was an Engineer and Owner Operator for Engineered Assemblies Inc. in Mooresville for 15 years. He was a member of The Church at Mt. Gilead. He also enjoyed R.C. helicopters, planes and cars.

Dean is survived by his wife, Sherrie Egler of Mooresville; three children, Jennifer Egler of Camby, David Egler of Mooresville and Elizabeth Egler of Camby; parents, Daniel and Naomi Egler of Jasper and two brothers, John Egler of San Francisco, CA and Robert Egler of Jasper. Dean is preceded in death by a brother, Vincent Egler.

Family and friends may attend calling hours from 2-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville and 1-2 p.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at The Church at Mt. Gilead, 6019 E. St. Road 144, Mooresville. Pastor Dave Thurman will officiate the 2 p.m. celebration of life service on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at The Church at Mt. Gilead.

Memorial Contributions can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association Summer Camp, 8777 Purdue Road, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
