Obituary for Crestella L. Martin

Crestella L. Martin, 97, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2014. Crestella was born to Thomas Jefferson and Myrtle L. (Boone) Kennedy on February 28, 1917 in Duke, OK. Crestella is widowed from Lawrence Edward Parker, Cleo M. Prickett and Clarence "Bud" Martin.

Crestella was a Homemaker. She was a member of Mooresville Church of Christ. She has lived in Mooresville since 2005, Noblesville for 29 years, California for 40 years and her birthplace of Duke, OK.

Crestella is survived by two children, James Edward (Lorraine) Parker of Canton, MS and Marjorie G. (Donald R.) Jones of Mooresville; one great granddaughter, Ray'chiel McLean and three great great grandchildren, Charity, Joshua and Hope McLean. Crestella is preceded in death by her parents; spouses; two grandchildren, Lawrence R. and Tisha L. Jones; two sisters and six brothers.

Family and friends may attend calling hours from 5-7 p.m., Monday, March 10, 2014 and 9-10 a.m., Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. Pastor Larry Ping II will officiate the 10 a.m. celebration of life service on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Jones Family Mortuary. Crestella will be laid to rest at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis.
