Obituary for Cecil P. Huber

Cecil P. "Top Cat" Huber, 90, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully with family by his side as he went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2016. Cecil was born to Perry C. and Ida E. (Byerly) Huber on December 26, 1925 in Bowling Green. He graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1943. He married Margaret Rhoda (Franklin) Huber on December 17, 1949.

Cecil was a Machine Repairman at International Harvester, now Navistar Truck Engines in Indianapolis for 43 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of Marwood Baptist Church in Indianapolis. He lived in Indianapolis for most of his life.

Cecil is survived by three children, Polly (Steve) Peckinpaugh of Middletown, Ida Mae (Mike) Temple of Mooresville, Ricky Paul (Jennie) Huber of Indianapolis; ten grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Cecil is preceded in death by his parents, wife and two sisters, Dorothy Shickles and Frances Corbin.

Family and friends may gather from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2016 and 9-10 a.m., Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Rev. Allen Carter will officiate Cecil's celebration of life service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Jones Family Mortuary. Cecil will be laid to rest in Washington Park North, Indianapolis.
