Obituary for Carroll Jack McCardle

Born into the family of Carroll J. McCardle & Helen E. Jackson McCardle and sister, Peggy on June 12, 1947 in Milan, IN.

Jack spent his childhood in Aurora, IN. He was a member of the Order of the Arrow and Eagle Scout. He graduated from AHS in 65', ISU in 70' and DePauw University with a Masters Degree in Education. He taught grades K-12 at Our Lady of Greenwood and Brentwood Elementary Plainfield Schools and Driver Ed Instrustor at PHS. Owner of Plainfield Gymnastics and J&L Gymnastics. He founded a program for Day Cares to promote Physical Education known as "Jack Be Nimble".

He is survived by his Wife of 43 years, Mary LaVerne Broadstreet McCardle, his two Sons, Jon M. (Tammie) McCardle of Lafayette, IN and Marc R (Tracy) McCardle of Kailua, HI on the island of Ohau; four grandchildren, Megan, Devin, Calen and Noah. Mother Helen E. McCardle of Mooresville, IN and Sister Barbara Yeates (Don) of Bryron, GA. He is preceded in death by father Jack, Sister Peggy and Brother Larry.

Family and friends may attend calling hours from 2-8 p.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2014 and 9-10 a.m., Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center, next door to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. There will be a 10 a.m. celebration of life service on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center. Jack will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville, IN.
