Obituary for Carolyn R. Shover

Carolyn R. (Rosemeyer) Shover, 66 years of age passed away Thursday, April 16, 2009. She was born September 25, 1942 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Lawrence R. and Dorothy (Hendricks) Rosemeyer. She married Leonard T. Shover Jr. of Mooresville, IN on August 23, 1964.

Carolyn has lived in Mooresville since 1972 and in Indianapolis, IN for 23 years. She was a 1960 Howe High School Graduate and also attended Brooklyn Christian Church. Carolyn was a member of the Rebecca Lodge in Indianapolis, IN and loved playing music and was an organist at church for 20 years. Currently, she was a Reservationist for Holiday Inn Airport in Indianapolis, IN for the past 30 years.

Carolyn is survived by her Husband, Tom Shover of Mooresville, IN; 2 Sons, Michael (Rauni) Shover and Todd Shover; 1 Daughter, Kelly (Tom) Mitchell; 8 Grandchildren: Sarah, Levi, Garrett, Kirsten, Katelyn, and Kristopher Shover; and Jonah and Annabelle Mitchell; 1 Brother, Donald Edward (Dona) Rosemeyer; and 2 Nieces, Connie Winter and Cathy Rosemeyer.

Calling for Carolyn will be from 4-8pm, Sunday, April 19, 2009 and from 9-10am, Monday, April 20, 2009 all at Jones Family Mortuary. The funeral will be at 10am, Monday, April 20, 2009 with Lumar Griggs to officiate. Carolyn will be laid to rest at Brooklyn Cemetery in Brooklyn, IN. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Heart Fund.
