Obituary for Carolyn J. Hittie

Carolyn J. Hittie, 74 years of age passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010. She was born January 16, 1936 in Farmersburg, IN to the late Jesse and Zola A. (Walton) Stewart. Carolyn married the late Edward Hittie on December 31, 1955.

She lived in Indianapolis, IN for most of her life. She was a 1954 Graduate of Farmersburg High School and loved sewing, crocheting, and traveling. She was a School Bus Driver for Decatur Township Schools for 14 years and retired in 2007. Previously, she was a Cashier for Arzmans Market in Indianapolis, IN for 20 years.

Carolyn is survived by 4 Daughters: Diana Phelps of Cumberland, IN, Sharon Gaskins of Mooresville, IN, Joyce Sommerville of Indianapolis, IN, and Kimberly Burrows of Indianapolis, IN; 6 Grandchildren: Shannon Parker, Nathaniel Rager, Jeanette Newman, Hannah Rager, Austin Burrows, and Spencer Burrows; 2 Great Grandchildren, Tristan Newman and Brooke Miner; and 1 Brother, Paul Stewart. She is also preceded in death by 7 Siblings: Flossie, Arthur, Orville, Mable Irene, Dorothy, Ethel, and Helen.

Calling hours for Carolyn Hittie will be from 4-8pm, Tuesday, June 1, 2010 and from 9-10am, Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Jones Family Mortuary. The funeral will be at 10am, Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Jones Family Mortuary. She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial Contributions may be made to the the Susan G.
