Obituary for Carl P. Clark

Carl P. Clark, 95, of Franklin, passed away peacefully on May 4th, 2016. He was born to John V. and Mayfair E. (Prather) Clark on May 27, 1920 in Plainville. He was a 1940 Washington High School Graduate. He is a US Veteran of the Air Force, serving during World War II. He married Wanda M. (Voyles) Clark on November 11, 1945.

Carl was a Maintenance Warehouse Worker for Sears and Roebuck in Indianapolis for 30 years, retiring in 1987. He was a charter member of the Mooresville American Legion Post #103. He lived in Mooresville for 55 years, Washington for 20 years and 5 years in his birthplace of Plainville.

Carl is survived by two children: William G. Clark of Franklin and Nancy E. Burnett of Greencastle; three grandchildren: Christopher Burnett, Robert Clark and Debra Gruber; five great-grandchildren: Briana and Joshua Burnett, Stephen, Sean and Sarah Clark; two great-great grandchildren: Ethan and Clayton Clark. Carl is preceded in death by his parents; wife and two brothers: Robert L. Clark and John R. Clark.

Family and friends may gather from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2016 in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Steve Ranson will officiate Carl's celebration of life service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2016 in Jones Family Mortuary. Carl will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
