Obituary for Billy Hugh Towns

Billy Hugh Towns, 86 years of age passed away Friday, August 28, 2009. He was born July 14, 1923 in Shelbyville, IN to the late James and Linnie (Kaster) Towns. He married Linda (Ray) Towns of Poland, IN on July 26, 1952.

Billy lived in Poland, IN for 18 years; Indianapolis, IN for 45 years; and his birth place of Shelbyville, IN for 19 years. He was an Army World War II Veteran and loved spending time with his family. Before retiring in 1988, he was a Dock Supervisor for Eli Lilly in Indianapolis, IN for 42 years.

Billy is survived by his Wife, Linda (Ray) Towns of Poland, IN; 6 Children: Sandra Losacco of Chicago, IL, Pamela Watts of Greenwood, IN, Kathy Cosby of Indianapolis, IN, Jeff Towns of Avon, IN, William "Eric" Towns of Poland, IN, and Chuck (Beth) Towns of Mooresville, IN; 6 Grandchildren: Regina Wells, Bobby and Billy Eastes, Jeff Towns Jr., and Carson and Lindsay Watts; 7 Great Granchildren; 1 Brother, Donald Towns; and 2 Sisters, Rosemary Metz and America Sellers.

There will be calling for Billy from 5-7pm, Monday, August 31, 2009 with the Funeral at 7pm, Monday, August 31, 2009 at Jones Family Mortuary. Jones Family Mortuary handled the arrangements.
