Betty L. (Brooks) Thompson, 84, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2016 with family by her side. Betty was born to Henry Sr. and Thelma (Bagshaw) Brooks on May 29, 1932 in Henryville. She was a 1950 Roachdale High School Graduate.

Betty was a Secretary for Indiana Department of Insurance for 13 years. She also worked for Hooks in Mooresville for 20 years, retiring in 1994. She loved craftwork and was passionate about her volunteer work, making blankets and holiday gifts for children. She lived in Mooresville for most of her life.

Betty is survived by four children, David (Janet) Thompson of TX, Allen (Marcia) Thompson of Mooresville, Richard (Ruth) Thompson of Mooresville, Charlotte (Jeff) Greene of Mooresville; six grandchildren, C.J., Brian, and Clinton Thompson, Brook Spencer, Nathan and Andy Greene; six great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Dorothy Clark, Gladys Eikenbary, Wilma Lytle, Julia Wood, William Brooks, Henry Brooks Jr. and Linda Carver. Betty is preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends may gather from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville with Pastor John Dunaway officiating Betty's celebration of life memorial service at 6 p.m.
