Obituary for Betty Jean Ludlow

Betty Jean Ludlow, 86, of Indianapolis, died on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at The Water's Nursing Home in Martinsville. She was born on December 28, 1924 in Paoli, IN to the late Arthur Ray and Bernice (Eicher) Gasaway. She married the late Charles Elden Ludlow.

Betty lived most of her life in Monrovia, 20 years in Paoli and a short time in Indianapolis. She was a Registered Nurse for Methodist Hospital for 15 years and was also a nurse for several other companies. She was a member of Monrovia United Methodist Church. She was a 1942 graduate of Paoli High School and went on to obtain her Masters Degree in nursing from Indiana University.

She is survived by 2 sons: Charles Ray (Diane) Ludlow of Indianapolis and Paul Robert Ludlow of Bloomington; 3 grandchildren: Elizabeth George, Paul Charles Ludlow and Amalia Ludlow; 1 great granddaughter, Eleanor George; and 1 sister, Kathryn Green of Indianapolis. She is preceded by 1 sister, Dorothy Williams.

Visitation will be 2-6pm, Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Jones Family Mortuary and also 1 hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be at 10am, Monday, June 6, 2011 also at Jones Family Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
