Obituary for Bert L. (Buck) Squires
Bert L. "Buck" Squires, 84 years of age passed away Saturday, December 26, 2009. He was born May 31, 1925 in Mooresville, IN to the late David and Bertha (Hutchinson) Squires. Buck married Beverly K. (Williams) Squires of Camby, IN on August 28, 1971.
He has lived in Camby, IN for 30 years and in Mooresville, IN for 54 years. He is an Army Veteran from the Korean War. Buck was a Lifetime member of the Mooresville VFW Post 1111, American Horseshoe Pitchers Association, A pitcher for Fastpitch softball for many years and also a coach for Women's slowpitch softball for many years. Before retiring in 1980, he was a Machine Operator for Federal Mogul in Mooresville, IN for 12 years.
Buck is survived by his Wife, Beverly K. (Williams) Squires of Camby, IN; 1 Daughter, Connie Nungester of Mooresville, IN; 5 Sons: Randall (Charlotte) Squires of Indianapolis, IN, Rick (Kim) Squires of Camby, IN, Kevin (Heather) Squires of Palm Bay, FL, Keith Squires of Camby,IN, and Kurt Squires of Camby, IN; 8 Grandchildren; and 11 Great Grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by 1 Daughter, Gail Squires.
Calling hours for Bert L. "Buck" Squires will be from 4-8pm, Wednesday, December 30, 2009 and from 9-10am, Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center right next door to Jones Family Mortuary. The funeral will be at 10am, Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center. Wayne Grace will officiate the service and Buck will be laid to rest at Fairfield Cemetery in Camby, IN. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
