Obituary for Barbara Eileen (Baldwin) Kloboucnik

Barbara Eileen (Baldwin)Kloboucnik, 76 years old, Brooklyn, Indiana, died on Friday, October 28, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio, July 18, 1935 to David Roscoe and Lena Belle (Dittus) Baldwin.

She graduated from Bellefontaine High School in 1953 and attended Indiana Wesleyan University and graduated from Chicago School of Interior Design. She also did post graduate work at Purdue and Indiana University. She worked for AT & T as a Telephone operator, a substitute teacher for Eastbrook School Corporation and a homemaker.

She served on the City of Jonesboro Library Board, Grant County Emergency Management Council and on the Brooklyn Kids Park, Inc. board. She also was a member of Brooklyn Christian Church and the Upland Evangelical Mennonite Church, Likely Literary Society, Officer's Wife's club at Grissom AFB and a Federal Emergency Response for Task Force 70. She was a Federal Emergency Medical Technician and a USEPA Hazmat First Responder. Her hobbies included Oil Painting, Gardening and Politics.

She was married to James F. Kloboucnik on September 11, 1954 in Bellefontaine, Ohio and they made there home in Marion, Indiana before they moved to Brooklyn, IN. Her husband survives her as well as their children, Edwin (Nancy) Kloboucnik of San Angelo, TX and Coleen Kloboucnik Jeffries of Brooklyn, IN and grandchildren, Crystal (Travis Ingoldsby) Jeffries and Mandie Marsh, all of Brooklyn, IN, 2 sisters, Lorna (Robert) Vermilyea of Ohio and Zylpha (Edwin) Hoover of Delphi, IN.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, David Roscoe & Lena Belle (Dittus) Baldwin and a sister, Elaine Jones.

Calling will be from 4-8pm, Tuesday, November 1, 2011 and 9-10am, Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. Rev. Bill Burkley will officiate the 10am funeral service on Wednesday, November 3, 2011 at Jones Family Mortuary. Barbara will be laid to rest in Brooklyn Cemetery.
